RESTORING HOPE PROJECT
The Restoring Hope project support vulnerable girls and women to break free from sexual exploitation and abuse in Bo city, Sierra Leone and rebuild their shattered lives away from violence, addiction and poverty. The girls and women we support are from the amongst vulnerable in Sierra Leone. They battle a range of issues such as child abuse, family breakdown, poverty, homelessness. They face a daily risk of sexual and gender-based violence on a daily basis and they move forward without dedicated support is extremely difficult. We are, therefore, committed and dedicated to safeguarding the lives of these vulnerable group of people, by ensuring that their fundamental human rights are intact.
We support sex workers, women and girls survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, women living with HIV/AIDS. We also provide free and confidential sexual and reproductive health and HIV services to these girls and women and their community.
CHILD PROTECTION PROJECT
SLDI is involved in child protection issues such as child marriage, sexual exploitation, child trafficking, sexual and physical violence.
WOMEN IN EMERGENCIES
SLDI protects and capacitates women in emergency situations in Sierra Leone as they and their children are most vulnerable during emergency situations. SLDI help in ensuring women's economic and social rights are intact through humanitarian responses to the disasters happening in Sierra Leone.
SLDI strives to reduce the environmental footprints by making efforts to reduce environmental impacts in Sierra Leone.
